Based at Bella Trio Salon and Spa at Sutton Station, our RTP location in Durham, he brings creativity and a real love of color theory to every appointment.

Shelton specializes in blonding, balayage, highlights, root touch-ups, precision cuts, and nourishing hair treatments, with a particular love for warm tones and creative color. He is the stylist for guests who are open to suggestions and enjoy trying new things, and he will gladly help you find the right products to keep your hair healthy through every season, from anti-frizz support in humid months to extra hydration when the air turns dry.

He also believes in being honest about the process. Some goals, like going significantly lighter, correcting color, transitioning away from box dye, or blending grey, are a journey rather than a single appointment. Shelton's priority is always protecting the integrity of your hair and creating a realistic plan that gets you there safely and beautifully.

Outside the salon, Shelton is devoted to his pets, loves gardening and cooking from scratch, and is always up for travel and a great meal, especially fresh seafood and oysters.
