PERMANENT MAKE UP

brows | lips | eyeliner

Permanent makeup is one of the most personal decisions you can make about your appearance. It is not something to rush, and it is not something to trust to just anyone. At Bella Trio, permanent makeup services are provided by a trained, certified artist working inside an established salon and spa where your comfort, safety, and satisfaction come first.

Every permanent makeup appointment begins with a thorough consultation. Your artist will discuss your goals, assess your features, and walk you through the process before anything is applied. You will have input on shape, color, and intensity, and you will approve everything before the work begins.

Permanent makeup is available at our Durham locations: Bella Trio Salon and Spa at Sutton Station and Bella Trio Studio at American Tobacco Campus.

Our Permanent Makeup Services

Microblading Microblading uses a handheld tool with ultra-fine needles to create individual hair-like strokes that mimic the natural growth pattern of your brows. The result is fuller, more defined eyebrows that look completely natural. Microblading is ideal for guests with normal to dry skin who want a realistic, feathered brow look. Results typically last 12 to 18 months, and a touch-up appointment is recommended 6 to 8 weeks after your initial session.

Lip Blush Lip blush is a semi-permanent technique that enhances the natural color, shape, and definition of your lips. It creates a soft, tinted look that evens out lip tone and can make lips appear fuller. Lip blush is ideal for guests who want a subtle, natural enhancement without the daily application of lip color. Results typically last 2 to 3 years.

Eyeliner Permanent eyeliner defines your eyes with a subtle or dramatic line that lasts without daily application. Whether you want a thin, natural lash enhancement that creates the look of thicker lashes or a more defined liner, your artist will customize the shape and thickness to complement your eye shape and personal style. Results typically last 2 to 3 years depending on skin type and aftercare. A touch-up appointment is recommended 6 to 8 weeks after your initial session.

What to Expect

Consultation

Every permanent makeup service starts with a consultation. Your artist will discuss your goals, assess your skin and features, and explain the options that will give you the most natural, lasting result. Pricing is customized based on the service and the level of detail involved, and your artist will review the full investment with you during the consultation. You will see a preview of the shape and placement before any work begins.

The Appointment

A topical numbing solution is applied before the procedure to keep you comfortable throughout. The initial appointment typically takes 2 to 3 hours, depending on the service. Your artist works carefully, checking in with you along the way.

Healing

Immediately after your appointment, the color will appear darker and more intense than the final result. This is normal. Over the next 7 to 14 days, the pigment will soften as your skin heals. Some flaking is expected. Full healing takes approximately 4 to 6 weeks, at which point you will see the true color and shape of your results.

Touch-Up

A touch-up appointment is recommended 6 to 8 weeks after your initial session. This allows your artist to refine the shape, fill in any areas where pigment did not retain evenly, and make adjustments based on how your skin healed. The touch-up is a standard part of the permanent makeup process, not a sign that something went wrong.

Before and After Your Appointment

Before Your Appointment

Avoid blood thinners, alcohol, and caffeine for 24 hours before your appointment. Do not wax, tint, or tweeze your brows for at least one week prior. Avoid retinol or chemical exfoliants near the treatment area for two weeks before. Arrive with a clean face and no makeup on the treatment area. If you have any questions about medications or skin conditions, discuss them during your consultation.

After Your Appointment

Keep the area clean and dry for the first 7 to 10 days. Avoid touching, picking, or scratching the treated area. Do not apply makeup directly on the treated area until healing is complete. Avoid swimming, saunas, and excessive sweating for at least 2 weeks. Avoid direct sun exposure and apply SPF once healed to protect the pigment. Your artist will provide a detailed aftercare guide at your appointment.
